Website and SEO audit

A website and SEO audit that tells you what to fix first.

Find out what is stopping your website from bringing in enquiries. Shaxx Digital reviews your site, your Google Business Profile and the search results you compete in, then walks you through the findings on a free call, in plain language and in priority order.

Why an audit comes before anything else

Most business owners who contact us already suspect something is wrong. The phone is quieter than it should be, a competitor shows up above them on Google, or the website simply feels out of date. What they rarely know is which problem matters most. Spending money on a redesign when the real issue is a broken Google Business Profile, or on ads when the site cannot convert a visitor, is a common and expensive mistake.

An audit replaces guesswork with a short, ordered list. It tells you what is broken, what is missing, what is fine, and what to do first. Sometimes the answer is a weekend of fixes. Sometimes it is a new site. Either way you make the decision with evidence.

What we review

1. Technical health

We crawl your site the way a search engine does and look for the problems that stop pages from ranking: pages Google cannot index, broken links and 404 errors, redirect chains, duplicate versions of the same page (for example with and without "www" or "https"), missing or duplicated titles and descriptions, slow page templates, mobile layout problems, and structured data errors. Each issue is explained in terms of what it does to your visibility, not just its technical name.

2. Speed and mobile experience

Most local searches happen on a phone. We test how quickly your key pages load and become usable on mobile, whether the phone number and booking options are easy to reach, and whether forms work. A slow or awkward mobile page loses enquiries even when it ranks well.

3. Pages and content

We check whether each service you sell has a page that clearly explains it, whether those pages match the way customers actually search, and whether two of your pages are competing for the same search. We look at page titles, headings, internal links and the questions a customer would need answered before calling.

4. Google Business Profile

For local businesses the profile often matters as much as the website. We review categories, services, description, service area, hours, photos, posts and reviews, and compare them with the businesses currently appearing in the map results for your main searches.

5. Business details across the web

We spot-check your name, phone number and website on the main listings and directories in your industry. Mismatched details confuse both customers and search engines.

6. The search results you are competing in

We look at what actually appears for the searches that matter to you in Abbotsford or your service area: who holds the map results, which pages rank organically, and what those pages do better. We do not publish other businesses' details; we use them to show you the gap.

7. Tracking

If you have Google Search Console or Analytics, we check that they are set up correctly and look at which searches already bring impressions. If you do not, we explain the minimum setup you need to measure progress honestly.

What you get

  • A free call where we walk through the findings on screen.
  • A prioritised list of fixes, sorted by likely impact and effort, with the quick wins clearly marked.
  • An honest view on whether your current website can support your goals or needs rebuilding.
  • A realistic sense of timelines. We will not promise rankings, and we will tell you if a goal is unlikely.

How it works

  2. We review your site and search presence before the call.
  3. We walk you through it and answer your questions.

Common problems we find

Every site is different, but some issues come up again and again on small business websites in the Fraser Valley:

  • One general "services" page instead of a clear page for each service.
  • A Google Business Profile with the wrong primary category, few photos, or details that do not match the website.
  • Old pages from a previous website that now return errors instead of redirecting.
  • Homepage titles that say "Home" instead of what the business does and where.
  • Contact forms that send to an inbox nobody checks, or no clear way to call from a phone.
  • No Search Console account, so nobody knows which searches the site already appears for.

None of these need a big budget to fix. They need someone to notice them and put them in order.

After the audit

If you want help with the fixes, our services are published with prices. Ongoing work from our Abbotsford SEO agency runs at $397 or $597 a month, explained on our local SEO service page. If the site itself is the problem, web design projects start at $600. Curious what SEO typically costs before you book? Read our SEO cost guide for Abbotsford.

Common questions

Is the website and SEO audit really free?

Yes. The audit call is free and there is no obligation to buy anything afterwards. We look at your site and search presence before the call so the conversation is about your business, not a generic checklist.

What do I need to provide?

Your website address, the main services you want more enquiries for, and the areas you serve. If you can give read access to Google Search Console or Google Analytics, the review is more accurate, but it is not required.

Will you tell me my site needs to be rebuilt?

Only if it genuinely does. Many sites need a handful of fixes rather than a rebuild. If a rebuild is the honest answer, we explain why and what the smallest version would be.

How is this different from an automated SEO score?

Automated tools are useful for finding technical errors, and we use them. But a score cannot tell you which problems actually cost you customers, how your pages compare with the businesses you lose work to, or what to fix first. That judgement is the point of the audit.

Do I have to use Shaxx Digital to make the fixes?

No. You can take the findings to your current web developer or do the work yourself. If you want us to do it, we will quote the work or recommend one of our published plans.

Who does the audit?

Shaxx Digital reviews every audit personally and runs the call.
